What a full body photo gives you that a face cannot

A head shot tells you who someone is. A full body shot tells you what they are doing.

That matters for a specific set of jobs. A character sheet needs height, build and clothes. An app mockup with a delivery screen needs a standing person, not a cropped face. A fashion or fitness layout needs the whole figure.

The trade-off is detail. At 512x1024 the face inside a full body shot is maybe 100 pixels wide. So for a close-up, take the face from the random AI face generator instead and use the two together.

Clothes, poses and what actually comes out

Expect standing people in everyday clothes, shot straight on. Most face the camera. Some stand at a slight angle.

You will see shirts, jackets, dresses, jeans and shoes. Backgrounds are plain or lightly blurred, which makes cut-outs easy.

What you will not get is action. Nobody is running, sitting or holding a prop. StyleGAN-Human learned from standing portraits, so that is what it returns.

Full body images use different models from the faces on this site. Faces run StyleGAN3. Full body runs StyleGAN2 with StyleGAN-Human weights.

StyleGAN-Human was trained on a large set of standing human photos. It learned how bodies, limbs and clothing fold together. Then it makes new people from a random seed.

No real photo is copied. Look closely at hands and shoe edges and you will spot the giveaways, which is normal for this model family.

What size are the full body images?

512x1024 pixels, a 1:2 portrait shape. Taller than the 1024x1024 faces, because a standing person needs the height.

Can I pick the gender of a full body person?
